Join me, Debbie North for an look around the villages of Clapham and Ingleton in the Yorkshire Dale. The limestone landscape which surrounds Clapham is a haven for birds such as Buzzards, Curlews, Wheatears and Lapwings and Dippers can frequently be spotted around the becks. We have a great selection of accommodation in the village and in the surrounding town of Ingleton. Nearly all the surviving ones are in Clapham parish, which comprised the townships of Clapham, Austwick and Lawkland, and the hamlet of Newby. Others can be found on the borders of half-a-dozen nearby townships, including Ingleton/Horton, Horton/Stainforth, Stainforth/Arncliffe, Stainforth/Giggleswick and Langcliffe/Settle.
